The ideal candidate will have a certificate or diploma in Education or a Montessori Certification. Responsibilities
· The candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and child-friendly classroom.
· The candidate must ensure that Montessori materials are available, appropriate and suitable for students’ developmental stages.
· The candidate will be responsible for creating an inviting space that promotes exploration, creativity and independence.
· The candidate will be responsible for observing children to understand their individual needs, interests and progress.
· The candidate will be responsible for recording detailed observations and maintaining accurate student records.
· The candidate must plan and adapt individualized lessons based on observations to address learning challenges and support development.
· The candidate will be responsible for delivering lessons using Montessori materials and hands-on methods to facilitate experiential learning.
· The candidate will be responsible for guiding students in selecting age-appropriate activities that promote engagement, creativity and critical thinking.
· The candidate will be responsible for encouraging the exploration of practical life skills, sensory awareness and academic subjects.
· The candidate will be responsible for fostering a sense of responsibility and self-discipline in each child.
Qualification
· HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a recognized Montessori certification
· Good understanding of the Montessori philosophy and approach to education
· Experience working with young children (ideally in Montessori settings) is preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to observe, assess and respond to students’ individual needs
· Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting the development of each child
