About the role

The Relationship Management Associate (RMA) role is a high impact role for distinguished sales professionals looking for a new challenge in an exciting industry. As an RMA, you will build and expand Garage’s route to market across retail shops and engage in operational activities to meet customer needs. Successful candidates in this role will be high energy, driven professionals with astute customer relationship instincts, great communications skills, a passion for the auto sector and a lovable personality. All candidates must also be comfortable with change and adept at working in fast paced environments and with ambitious target goals. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds. Experience in the auto sector is not necessary.

Candidates must be comfortable and willing to work on weekends and as needed by customer demand. Candidates with basic to intermediate data analytics skills and convalescence with tech tools is a plus . You must also be comfortable working in the field for at least 8 hours a day. We require that you have at least 3 years experience working in sales / distribution, including experience at growth stage retail distribution startups like Sabi, Wasoko, trade depot or big multinationals like Coca-cola, Unilever and Amazon. This role requires you to be based in Ghana (Accra).

Roles and responsibility:

● Identify and qualify new sales opportunities in the field

● Achieve monthly sales target for qualified sales leads

● Prepare sales presentations and conduct Garage product demo with partners

● Engage with customers in the field or over the phone to assess their needs

● Go on sales drives to deliver customer orders and build stronger relationships

● Canvas target areas to generate new leads

● Coordinate with customer success team and fulfillment team on orders and deliveries

● Set regular cadence to follow up on active leads in the pipeline

● Set up cadence to follow-up with your onboarded leads to ensure their satisfaction with onboarding process

● Conduct all business dealings in a professional manner

● Collaborate with other departments on innovative projects

● Comply with all reporting requirements of your role

● Any other activities assigned by Garage leadership to support company operations

● Other activities as requested by your team lead

Qualifications:

Basic qualification

● Bachelor's degree from a top school in Africa or internationally

● Intermediate to advanced proficiency with excel, word, Powerpoint, google drive

● Proficiency with data entry

● Excellent smartphone user

● 2+ years’ experience working in sales in any industry or growth stage startup

● Experience working in a structured and professional working environment such as multinationals

● Street smart and resourceful

● Excellent communicator (verbal, text, email)

● Excellent customer service skills

 

Compensation: We provide very competitive compensation for the best candidates and also offer generous performance-based incentives for the highest performers. The compensation range for this position ranges from 1750 GHS to 2500 GHS Gross based on experience and qualifications, with an opportunity to earn commissions and bonuses based on performance. Additional benefits are below. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
