New Horizon Special Sch seeks qualified and hardworking individuals for the position of a Special Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will teach children’s that learn with disabilities. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will assess children’s learning abilities and adapt the existing curriculum to accommodate the individual learning needs

·       The candidate will be responsible for monitoring children’s behavioral patterns and arranging appropriate interventions if needed

·       The candidate will assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques

·       The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the support staff (Physical Therapist and Speech Therapist) to help children develop and socialize

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field

·       Master’s or PhD is an added advantage

·       A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality

·       Good coordination and interpersonal skills

·       Good written and verbal communication skills
