The Presbyterian University, Ghana invites applications for appointment positions in the Registry. The University seeks qualified and hardworking individuals for the Chief of Security position. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, the company’s properties, and estates. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Duties:
• Ensure the safety of employees, the company’s properties, and estates.
• Supervise tasks and assign activities to security officers.
• Organize rounds of inspection on security guards at their duty location.
• Prepare a duty roster and maintain records relating to the duties of security guards.
• Investigate theft, pilfering, loss, and assault and submit reports to management.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on the company’s security and management reports.
• Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant field such as criminal justice, law enforcement, or security management.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within the security industry, with at least 5-10
• years of experience in a security-related field.
• Certification in security management, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team of security personnel.
• Ability to analyze and assess potential security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Experience in developing and implementing security plans, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to security operations.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
