A reputable company seeks the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the position of a Risk and Compliance Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying all risks in the operational areas of the organization. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate must identify all risks in the operational areas of the organization

·       The candidate will be responsible for setting appropriate tolerance levels for all the risks identified, monitor and ensure compliance

·       The candidate must ensure that the right measures are put in place to prevent/mitigate identified risks

·       The candidate will be responsible for vetting and collaring all cash and suspicious transactions which fall within the F.I.C  threshold and submit same to the F.I.C

·       The candidate must ensure that compliance training is held for directors, management and staff, at least once every financial year

·       The candidate will be responsible for developing AML/CFT compliance programme and serve as the AML/CFT reporting office of the organization

·       The candidate will be responsible for developing relevant compliance policies to ensure the smooth operation of the function

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or part professional qualification such as ICA, CIMA, ACIB

·       Minimum of 2 years work experience in the same or similar role in the banking sector

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

·       Knowledge of T24 banking software is required

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Very analytical and paying attention to detail

·       Demonstrate high standards of integrity, professionalism and adhere to ethical standards
