Job Description
Our client, a well-established ICT organization, is looking to hire a Presales Engineer who will bridge technical expertise with business needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing technical proposals and documentation that accurately address customer needs and requirements. He/she shall collaborate with project managers, the sales team, and all other stakeholders to ensure the company’s range of services is well-structured, value-driven, and aligned with client expectations.
Duties
i. Prepares detailed proposals supported by the scope of supply definition, responsibility matrix, and project schedule for the company’s range of services.
ii. Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
iii. Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
iv. Interprets the client’s technical specification and produces a compliant technical proposal, offering more suitable alternatives where appropriate.
v. Accurately interpret the client’s technical requirements and ensure any technical or contractual risks to the company are identified and mitigated.
vi. Writes high-quality technical documents and reports for both internal and external audiences.
vii. Liaise with internal stakeholders to assist in collating accurate data for the preparation of proposals.
viii. Maintains a technical focus in all proposals related activity and in consultation with stakeholders
ix. Helps close sales deals by providing any technical support, presentation, surveys, or interviews, and stays on to ensure the delivery of the intended solution.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
i. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
ii. Minimum 5 years of engineering and Sales experience in a business-to-business and corporate organizations.
Technical
i. Familiarity with Technical review processes.
ii. Knowledge of documentation/project management processes
iii. Knowledge of tendering processes
iv. Proven record of achievement and technical solution expertise
v. Ability to adhere to the Company’s Quality Management and Business Processes
vi. Good communication skills (both written and oral)
vii. Customer service oriented and willing to work long hours
viii. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel Software.
ix. Experience in working with strict KPI and SLA
x. Experience in working with Quality Management System, e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 9001:2015
Managerial
i. Ability to plan, coordinate, and follow up on work activities
ii. Ability to work closely with people at all levels
