Sedat Consult, a multinational agriculture company in Ghana, is looking for qualified and hardworking individuals for the HR Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in employee relations and payroll administration. The HR officer will handle various aspects of human resource practices and processes with the organisation to ensure a productive and harmonious workplace aligned with the company’s goals and values. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;
Responsibilities
· The candidate will handle HR functions, including payroll processing and administration.
· The candidate will address and resolve employee relations issues, including illnesses and other workplace concerns.
· The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives.
· The candidate will be responsible for organising and maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
· The candidate will collaborate with management to identify and address staffing needs and organisational development
· The candidate will plan and execute recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
· The candidate will monitor employee, performance, implement appraisal systems and recommend strategies for improvement.
· The candidate will conduct regular training and professional development programs to enhance employee skills.
· The candidate will handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution processes fairly and effectively.
· The candidate will stay updated with changes in labour laws and regulations, ensuring organizational compliance.
· The candidate will design and promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
· The candidate will liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, labour inspectors and recruitment agencies.
Qualification
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human resources, preferably within the agricultural industry
· Strong knowledge of payroll systems and employee benefits management
· Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
